1. Use a thick lip balm
Lip balm is your first line of defense against lip damage during winter. It is crucial that you understand the importance of lip balm. It is a thick balm, primarily with a petroleum jelly base, that covers the lips and protects moisture loss. There are plenty of effective lip balms available in the market including herbal, cruelty-free, organic and sensitivity-specific lip balms. Make sure you use a high-quality lip balm to keep your lips protected.
2. Apply lip balm 5-6 times a day
Your lips need extra care and protection. Applying lip balm just once or twice won’t help, especially when the winter is becoming harsher with each passing day. You need to ensure that you use the right lip balm at least 5-6 times a day.
3. Nighttime routine
Ensure that you preserve the moisture of your lips during the night. Use shea butter, clarified butter or lip cream to keep the lips protected while you sleep. These ingredients will ensure that the lips are soft and supple throughout the cold night.
4. Remove the lipstick
