How to clean Holi colors from hair?
Olive oil or castor oil works great
For your hair, using olive oil or castor oil is a great remedy to clean the Holi colors. However, this remedy you will have to use before you start the color play. Oil your hair with olive oil or castor oil and make a protective layer. The layer will prevent colors from settling down on your hair.
Egg yolk
As nourishing as egg yolk is for your hair, it is also a great way to get rid of Holi color from hair. For this remedy to work, you must not wash your hair immediately after the Holi fun. Instead, apply egg yolk on your hair and let it sit for 45 minutes. Now wash your hair with a shampoo and get the color removed.
You can also use curd instead of egg yolk. This remedy also helps you prevent damage from the color.
How to clean Holi colors from skin?
For oily skin:
Multani mitti is the best way to repair skin damage after Holi a well as get rid of colors. You can apply a face mask made from Multani mitti on your face, let it dry and then wash it off after at least 15 minutes.
For dry skin:
Make a paste of soybean flour and milk and apply it to your face. Use the mixer as a scrub and gently massage on parts where you have color on your face. Wash it after 5-8 minutes.
For Normal skin:
Make a paste of masoor dal, flour, and rose water and apply it to the face. This remedy works great for normal skin and also nourishes the skin. Also, make sure you apply a good moisturizer n your skin before you venture out for the Holi celebrations.
